Research

The rapid advancement of genomics and bioinformatics tools in the past decade has enabled the biologists to address the biological questions in an unprecedented high-throughput and comprehensive manner.

In Professor Posthuma’s group, I focus on generating and analyzing the proteomics data derived from human postmortem brains. Through integrating our brain proteomics data with multiomics datasets in public databases as well as donors’ medical records, we aim to correlate the diversity of brain proteomes amongst individuals with the corresponding genetic make-ups, reveal the molecular signatures of neuropsychiatric diseases, and shed light on the brain proteome changes during the progression of neurodegenerative diseases.
