A major theme in our group is to understand underlying causes of psychiatric traits.

One of our main interests is in understanding genetic mechanisms underlying single psychiatric traits as well as co-morbidities between multiple traits. Our current research projects revolve around schizophrenia, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mental retardation, autism, RETT syndrome, depression and dementia.

CTGlab participates in the international Psychiatric Genomics Consortium that aims to identify underlying genetic mechanisms of multiple psychiatric disorders.
